WHO:              Guitar legend Dick Dale performing live at CityWalk’s Jon Lovitz Comedy Club.

WHAT:            Surf guitar legend Dick Dale will be performing live in concert on Saturday December 5th at the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club. Guitar innovator and stylist Dick Dale was one of the most influential musicians in the creation of the California surf sounds of the 1960's. From his stage work to his appearance in the beach movies of the early 60's with Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello, Dale made his mark on the guitar and not only changed the way guitar amplifiers and speakers were used but also the way they were built in order to meet the demands and power of his playing. Rock and Roll would never be the same after Dick Dale’s one of a kind beach sound became a national phenomenon and he is universally acknowledged as a major influence on such iconic American bands as The Beach Boys and Jan & Dean.

Psychostick to Release Video for Girl Directions

Comedy/metal band Psychostick will debut their new video for Girl Directions on AOL Music on December 1. The video was filmed inside of their tour van by director Patrick "Murph" Murphy.

The song is a mockery of women’s inability to give good directions with a chorus that screams "Give me the fuckin’ address! I’m using a GPS!"

"Girl Directions the song was sparked by a girl in Portland, OR who gave us terrible directions to someplace," says vocalist Rob Kersey. "From there the song just started to take shape…. And now we’re on tour to support it as our new radio single."

Fans of Psychostick have been acquainted with Murphy for several years since he’s one half of "Gawkman and Murph’ – the band behind The Dumb Song. The Dumb Song is often mislabeled as a Psychostick song, but it’s not.

THE TANGENT RELEASE TWO VIDEO CLIPS FOR THEIR NEW ALBUM "DOWN AND OUT IN PARIS AND LONDON"

NEW ALBUM AVAILABLE IN STORES NOW AND ONLINE ON INSIDEOUT MUSIC

Down And Out In Paris and London, their latest of five studio releases to date, sees prog rock band The TANGENT concentrate more than ever before on their artistic expressiveness. "Our new album is a 100 percent musical project. Where the previous album, Not As Good As The Book, was this whole multimedia thing with illustrations and science fiction novel, this one is about five pieces of music on a single CD," keyboardist/guitarist/vocalist Andy Tillison points out. "In terms of format, it’s more like our very first album, kicking off with a 19-minute piece which I am sure fans of the band’s prog stuff are going to like. Hopefully a lot!"

The TANGENT have posted two video clips featuring songs and footage from the new album Down And Out In Paris and London.  They can be viewed at the links below:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibLk-BaapmA

Andy Tillison the leader of the TANGENT had the following to say about the release of the new album:

"The new album is out and so far things are going well. It was nerve racking to see how people would react to the new musicians and rhythm section in particular.  While as you would expect it's much discussed, the lager opinion seems to be that it's a good move and that the new guys are a positive boost. I know that already of course!! Progressive Rock is often full of allegiances to "classic lineups" and favourite musicians, but it's also full of exciting changes and taking risks. To me, "Down And Out" is an album encapsulating the Tangent story so far. I'm immensely pleased with it on loads of levels. This is six years of music from a band who only formed to make one album."

There have been line-up changes again since the previous album, Not As Good As The Book: Jaime Jalazar and Jonas Reingold have left the fold, so now The Tangent consists, along with Tillison, guitarist Guy Manning and saxophonist/flutist Theo Travis, drummer Paul Burgess and bassist Jonathan Barrett. "For the first time since 2003, all the members of the Tangent are English," Tillison rejoices. "I think that’s an important thing, because one of the most defining things about The TANGENT’s sound has been a certain ‘Englishness’ - an affinity with the roots of prog rock."

I WILL NEVER BE THE SAME

CONFIRMS LOS ANGELES SHOWS WITH

DRAMARAMA AT PERSHING SQUARE (DECEMBER 3) AND

CAMP FREDDY AT THE ROXY (DECEMBER 11)

INDEPENDENTLY RELEASED ‘STANDBY’ CD AVAILABLE NOW

After captivating audiences throughout Los Angeles with their guitar and synth driven dark pop songs, I Will Never Be The Same has been invited to perform with Dramarama at Pershing Square in downtown LA on December 3 and with Camp Freddy (featuring Billy Morrison, Dave Navarro, Matt Sorum, Donovan Leitch and Chris Chaney) at The Roxy on December 11.

I Will Never Be The Same is building a solid fan base and garnering media praise for their live performances and independently released debut CD STANDBY, now available in digital format and as a limited edition deluxe physical CD package. Written and recorded by Josh Atchley, STANDBY features eleven original compositions along with a rendition of the goth pop "Cry Little Sister," well known from the 1987 film The Lost Boys. IWNBTS songs like "Worldless," "Set Your World On Fire," "Starfields" and "Eyes Turning Black" showcase dense and vibrant soundscapes that flow effortlessly from electronica to live instrumentation. STANDBY seamlessly mixes hard-edged melodic rock with pulsing ambient and industrial chords.

"After a year and a half of writing and experimenting, the end result was IWNBTS," says Atchley, the sole creator of Standby. But, he continues, "I was looking at these songs from a live standpoint the moment I started writing them." Atchley--who's been writing, producing, and remixing for the past 10 years--brought in veteran West Indian Girl bassist Francis Ten, guitarist Taylor Haycraft and keyboardist Brittany Bao to realize the group’s precision live sound. In addition to fronting the live band, Atchley also plays guitar and keyboard.

IWNBTS continues to earn allies in the media and on radio. Atchley was recently featured on Dave Navarro's "Dark Matter" radio show; Navarro later described IWNBTS’s "Eyes Turning Black" as "Pink Floyd meets NIN" on his blog. Elsewhere, Viktor Phoenix of BuzzBands.la says their sound "...reflects the influence of European electronic artists known for their songwriting and live shows--the likes of Depeche Mode, along with Him, Muse, IAMX and even Imogen Heap (November 5, 2009)." Chicks With Guns called the music "the perfect marriage between live instrumentation and electronic atmospherics."

Our fans have been asking for a full-fledged MACHINE HEAD tour and we are ready to bring it!"

Singer/Guitarist Robb Flynn adds "It’s been an amazing album cycle and we are thankful for the relentless support we have from our fans.  We are all well aware of the fact that the touring market around the world is in a tough spot due to economic conditions, and it’s great and humbling to be able to actually add dates to this tour in spite of that fact.  We can't wait to see all you crazy fuckers!"

MACHINE HEAD will be closing out 2009 with the rest of their U.S. support dates with Megadeth, leading into a string of western U.S. support dates with Metallica, culminating in a hometown show featuring both of the Bay Area metal titans on December 12 in San Jose, CA.
