The Seedy Seeds is made up of three band members. Mike, Margret and Brian. Their hometown is Cincinnati, Ohio and their "Count The Days" is the most unique sound that has come across my desk in a long time. I can’t really say if I like or dislike it, but when I first put the CD on in my car my thought was, "What the hell am I listening to?" Then I remembered that my job was to listen to the album in full- even if it meant that I had to do it in intervals.

Well I found that I listened to the whole thing in one sitting, finding that I was, at times, laughing at the simplicity of their music style. It was like going back to the early 1960s and a free hippie fest on some college campus. Yet I was feeling the punk generation of the late '70s when I was going to this club called The Palms.

Then I found myself singing along to the children’s song "My Roots Go Down" which is number five on the compilation. It was actually done by Sarah Pirtle I believe in the '80s. Children in kindergartens all over the world were singing this song with a little dance back then. I know my boys did anyway.

When a band comes up with such a unique style and concept making you have to think whether or not you like their music while putting a smile on your face, it’s obvious that they like to instill the wild card of thought-provoking music. All I can tell you is that you have to listen with an open mind and make that choice for yourself.
