Aluminum Marshmallow rocks it up at the Wistaria Festival
By Naughty Mickie  notymickie@earthlink.net

Every spring Sierra Madre, California bursts into everything-lavender as the town comes alive to celebrate its famed wistaria vine. Then finally, one weekend, the main drag is filled with art vendors and stages with musicians from all over. This year there were performances by Chico's Bail Bonds, Horses on Astroturf and a number of local favorites. The day ended with Aluminum Marshmallow and the Age of Aquarius Horns.

The band, known affectionately as Sierra Madre's darlings, plunked out an extra-long set filled with classic rock tunes. They work as a core unit of five and add in their horn section for larger venues such as this time around, which thrilled the crowd. Kids were dancing, seniors' toes were tapping, people sang along and everyone was having a great time. Tunes includes "California Dreaming," "Vehicle" and "Domino." It was the perfect end for a fun-filled day.
