The Moon Kids
– More Than a Hurricane
|By Dave Schwartz
Hailing from Dunfermline in Fife,
Scotland, The Moon Kids have been dubbed “Scotland's next big
thing!’’ by the Sunday Mail newspaper. Their highly
anticipated second EP, “Ride with the Hurricanes,” was released
March 5 via HWY 101 Entertainment and was partially influenced
by vocalist David Barr being quarantined in Mexico during a
recent natural disaster. The subject matter on this
six-song EP spans topics from thoughts of home (“Cold Storm
Cinema”) to taking aim at fakes, frauds and would-be
revolutionaries (“Enemy”) to the rock-star obligatory one night
stand (“Sleazy Orange”).
I spoke to David Barr about “Ride with
the Hurricanes.” Check out the interview!
