Kingdom Collapse - They Just Might Be Unbreakable
|By Dave Schwartz

Just one of the many consistencies of starting a band is that crawl from the primordial ooze of obscurity to, at least a vague level of notoriety.  Many take it to the stage, some build a following, relatively few get signed and only the rarest are labeled a success.  But what if this well-worn path to stardom was changing?

The world responded when Kingdom Collapse, an obscure band from San Antonio, TX released their first single, “Suffer.”  7 million YouTube views and 1.1 million Spotify streams were amassed organically.  No record label, no machine, no kidding.  Then the group’s 2020 hit radio single, “Uprise,” broke into the Billboard Mainstream Rock Top 40 as well as the Mediabase Active Rock charts for 9 weeks straight. “Uprise” went on to become Sirius XM Octane’s #1 Most Played song for two consecutive weeks and has since accumulated over 2 million Spotify streams.  The band’s 2021 follow-up radio single, “Unbreakable,” is next.  September 24th saw “Unbreakable” at #2 in the SiriusXM Octane BIG UNS Countdown.

The machine is being built but there’s no album and still no label.  It’s time to ask, what in the hell is going on!?!?  I spoke with vocalist Jonathan Norris.  Check out the interview!
